LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE

On this fifth installment of the Lightsaber & Leitmotif series, I am listening to the two new themes introduced in Attack of the Clones!

In Clones, John Williams introduces new themes for Count Dooku and the love theme for Padme & Anakin.

Unfortunately due to time constraints, John Williams did not score the final act of the film and music from The Phantom Menace was spliced into the film. There was never a release of the full soundtrack for Ep. II and John Williams only created two themes. Because of all this, the episode is very, very short. I apologize, but my hands were tied, much like Obi-Wan’s during his interrogation with Count Dooku.

Lightsabers & Leitmotifs will continue with Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith!

Thank you for your continued support,

On this fourth installment of the Lightsaber & Leitmotif series, I am listening to the new themes introduced in The Phantom Menace!

After sixteen years of waiting with bated breath, George Lucas finally decided to make more Star Wars, and no matter what you think of the films themselves, you can’t deny that John Williams continued to bring amazing music to a galaxy far, far away!

Even though Williams doesn’t use leitmotifs as strictly in the new trilogy, he does create a lot of great new themes and I am going to break them down for you!

Enjoy, and may the Force be with you.
